Meet the Google Pixel 6 and Tensor, High Galaxy Z Fold 3 prices & more!

Listen if Google told leakers last week hold my beer today, they also said hold my burger fries dessert tomorrow's lunch. Because yes, the company just revealed almost everything there is to know about their new soc and the pixel 6 series and yeah, I said almost. We have a ton of updates on price tags design leaks and more ahead of Samsung’s unpacked and a new report shows us how Apple plans to finish their transition to Apple silicon.

Apple

Let's move on to Apple and their Apple silicon road map as a work technically at the halfway point of their two-year transition. Which was announced at last year's WWDC on Mark German’s latest newsletter. He mentions that Apple will barely hit that two-year timeline they promised and he's actually counting as if they started in November with the release of the M1 MacBooks. Which is kind of fair giving Apple until November of next year to complete it German mentions that the M1 X processors are still on track for release in the coming months with the high-end Mac Mini coming soon after that. If you remember this is the one, we got the renders for a while back with a more compact design. But then moving on to next year German reiterates that we can expect a full transition by the end of next year with the revamp Mac Pro rocking Apple silicon coming in the second half of the year. He also talks about the redesigned MacBook Air which apparently will bring Max safe but uh he simply states that we're getting it sometime in 2022. Finally, he also speaks on the final update to the Intel Mac pro which is rumored to bring Intel's Iceland Xeon processor but we don't really have a date for that one. So just to recap the new MacBook Pros and the new Mac Mini this year two Mac Pros the new MacBook Air and the complete transition to Apple silicon by the end of next year. We'll see what we actually get as uh I mean we're already the clock is already ticking.

Samsung

Now let's switch on to Samsung and you guessed it their unpacked event the thing is um over the weekend. We've got a ton of leaks on multiple products so we're going to actually be throwing them all into this segment. So do me a favor and just bear with me. Let's start off with wearables, we have a new report from win future that claims that the Galaxy Buds 2 will bring IPX 2 certification up to 20 hours of play time with ANC. But more importantly they will be priced at €150. Now moving on to the Galaxy watch 4, we have some new in real life images from 91 mobiles that show off the new watch for classic the design looks great as expected but these also serve as our first hands-on look of when UI watch sort of. We can't really see much from these images but I mean it doesn't look bad at all either. Now moving on to the centerpiece of the event let's talk foldables Evan Blass buddy you keep maintaining the title as the king of unpacked leaks this year! As uh well we get another batch of press renders of the Galaxy Flip 3 from every possible angle and every possible color variant that we're expecting. So yeah, there's no secret here anymore uh but uh to conclude let's go back to talking prices. We have a couple of new tweets from a Tipster that goes by the name of snoopy yes like the dog where he reveals the price tag for Europe and both the Z-flip and the Z-fold. Uh don't necessarily have the prices we were expecting he comes with the Z-flip is going to start at €1029 while maxed out it will cost 1109 but then when it comes to the Z-fold it'll start at €2009 for 256 gigs of storage and €2099 if you go for the higher tier of storage. So yeah, I mean the Z-flip is getting more affordable the Z-fold is going to retain its price tag. Um we'll see how that goes and before we get to the hottest news.

Google

Finally for the hottest news today let's talk about the undisputed king of leaks that did not disappoint we're looking at you Google. If you thought that Samsung was good at leaking their own stuff, I mean Google just said hold my beer. But anyways earlier today the company took to twitter and gave us a sneak peek at their upcoming pixels and uh sort of announced their custom SOC starting with the obvious I mean yes there will be a regular pixel 6 and a pixel 6 pro variant. This year when it comes to the design these confirm the renders, we've been getting with a new camera module and they come in three different colors colorways for each variant. When it comes to the camera the 6 Pro will bring a triple camera array that includes a telephoto with forex optical zoom. While the regular 6 will bring the same cameras but with no telephoto and probably the hottest thing here is the new chip. Google tensor yes, the leaks were right this is a custom SOC and they're claiming that it can process their most powerful AI and M l codes directly on the smartphone. Apparently, we'll be able to see a transformed experience for speech recognition the camera and many other features. Sadly, they didn't show any pictures at the moment saying that they'll get it back to us soon on that. When it comes to the user interface material u will be at its best on pixels as expected and well these new pixels will also bring a ton of upgrades on Google’s features like translation voice commands and others. They concluded by saying that this is all they can share for now and that we'll get something later in the fall. However, they're already on the Google store showing off the specs but there's no price and of course you can't purchase them. So yeah, that's Google’s great twitter thread on the new pixels which uh leads me to the question today. I mean what are you excited most for the new capabilities with the chip or the pixel 6 series or both because in my case I love Evan Blass’s point on how I mean if you want to tackle pre-release leaks? I mean the best thing to do is to just announce things and we do see a lot of confidence from Google and these products and being able to do this right now or it could just be that they want to steal Samsung’s thunder and then Apple's thunder. I don't know we'll just see let us know what you think in the comments down below.
